Adventure sports: Paragliding, kayaking, rafting, diving and many more.

Trekking and waterfalls: Altogether, there are 17 trekking routes that take you to waterfalls and other wonders of the region.

Capoeira: Itacaré is the home of 3 traditional Capoeira groups, Luanda, Filhos de Zumbi and Tribo do Porto. The capoeira players are always making a presence around the village and you would not like to miss these acrobatics.

 

How to arrive in Itacare

The nearest airport is Ilhéus (72km away).

If you are arriving from an international flight, there are daily flights from the international airport of Salvador direct to the city of Ilhéus.

 

Best time to visit Itacare

Itacaré has a very pleasant weather all year round and if you want to enjoy the beaches and nature, you would not need to worry about the season.

However, for professional surfers, the best time is definitely Autumn and Winter (from July onward), when the waves are stronger.
