On September 15th and 16th, Trancoso will welcome the first edition of the Dança Brasil, an event designed by Academia de Dança Dionée Alencar together with Ecoar Bahia, featuring Ana Botafogo and Carlinhos de Jesus. More than 50 dancers will gather on Teatro L’Occitane to perform the Imagens Brasileiras, a very Brazilian show full of regional culture elements.
Carlinhos de Jesus and Ana Botafogo, two of the Brazilian music main names, promise to bring a new concept, which brings the samba closer to the classic ballet while telling the history of the African influence on the Brazilian popular culture. The show also has other national rhythms that will win public attention too, such as lambada, forro, chorinho as well as Bossa Nova.
The Imagens Brasileiras shows through the indigenous culture, the women from Bahia and the four elements of nature (water, fire, air and earth) the best a regional culture has to offer. A first-time not-be-missed event which promises to praise Bahia.
